Get Well Card

Hope everyone is having a great day. Today I went to visit my Grandma in the hospital. They are doing tests to see what's wrong with her breathing. She still has her sense of humour so I think she will be fine.

Today I'm sharing a get well soon card. I didn't have time to do a video. I was thinking of making another one and maybe do my first tutorial on it. Let me know what you think.

I created a flower pot card. I used cardstock, patterened paper. A Martha Stewart punch for the edge. The flowers are recollections and the pearls are from the dollar store. The stamp is from Stampin'Up and the ink is from Tim Holtz.

I hope you like it!

My First Banner for my nephew

Good morning! Today I am sharing the banner I created for my nephew. It was my first time making a banner and since it was for a boy I left it pretty simple!

The base for the banner was using a pack from Close to My Heart. Each piece measures 6"x7".

I added blue eyelets and lace at the top of the banner. I used the Stampin' Up die to create the rosettes in the middle. I used 2 sheets that measured 2"x 11" to create each of the rosettes. The circle in the middle was using my circle sizzix's die. I used the biggest one that is 2 1/2" round. The letters were cut out using my cricut. I cut the letter twice the base was using the shadow button. The top layer I used blue stickles around the edge.

Baby Shower Paper Cake

Hope everyone had a great day! I finally finished all my baby shower gifts:) Here is the main gift that will be the center piece at my sister's babyshower.

I created a paper cake from scratch. It took a long time to figure out the right measurements! LOL! The bottom is 6" x 10", the middle is 8"x 6" and the top is 6"x 6". I used heavy weight chipboard and attched it all using E-6000. The papers are from Graphic45's Little Darlings collection.

The top of the cake I made baby booties using a templet I found online. I used blue pearl trim from MB's Treasurista and the brads are from my stash. The cute little bear I found on my trip to St. Jacobs in southern Ontario. It's a small town known for its flea markets, antique stores and crafty shops.

This a picture of the back of the cake. I created three drawers one for each section. In each drawer I created a gift. The top has altered letters, the middle has an altered canvas and the bottom has a mini album. The trims are from MB's Treasurista and SaCrafters.

All the drawers were painted in an off white colour to match the paper.

Hope you like it! Love to know what you think:)

Have a great weekend!

Upsy Daisy birthday card

It has been a busy couple of weeks. My son Bradley was is his first Cub Kar Rally this past weekend. He didn't want to go at first because on the Wed. before they tested out their cars they designed and he lost 16 times. I'm so happy we went he had a great time and won first place in the first event!!!

I have been trying to craft. I made this card about a week ago:

Sorry about the pictures it was hard to get the camera to focus.

For this card I think the technique is called resist emboss. I stamped the daisies from the stamp set Upsy Daisy and embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I sponged three different pink inks from stampin' up. I used my stampin' up labels die and butterfly embosslit die and added some pearls.

Hope you have a great day!!!
